French 5-7
This French course for grades 5-8 will be using the exciting AIM program developed by Wendy Maxwell. Students are expected to actively participate in a variety of individual, small group, and whole class activities including subject-related worksheets. Using AIM will create an environment where the students will: feel comfortable to express themselves in the target language from the first lesson; learn vocabulary through visual, auditory and kinesthetic tools; participate in all activities in the target language based on literature and drama; learn to think and write creatively, while practicing oral communication; and be part of a “learning community” that emphasizes cooperative learning. There are 2 levels of AIM being offered. It is recommended that every student, regardless of grade, start with level 1 and continue with level 2 the following year. Some exceptions may apply.
Each level has a capacity of 15 students and will be hosted in Surrey.

Physical and Health Education K-6
This course is an opportunity for students who school at home to interact and play with other students their age. Under the supervision and direction of a gym instructor, these students meet for one 75 minute gym class per week. This is a fantastic introduction to blended classes and a wonderful way to meet other TLA families and friends!
