Salish Sea beach walk with Talaysay Tours

$50
This field trip is a unique opportunity to experience the wonder of traditional ecological knowledge, interpreted through the beautiful beach at Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver. 🦀🐚 🐟
Our first field trip in with Talaysay Tours was deeply meaningful for all of the participants, so we are pleased to offer another tour, this time in a different location.
Talaysay Tours is recognized as one of the leading Indigenous tour groups in BC, and their tours offer deep insights into history, culture, geography and biology. On this nature walking tour we will hear the stories of how shíshálh (Sechelt) & Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) People have been using the ocean and the land for food, medicine and technology for thousands of years.
To ensure that students get the most out of this experience, we will be capping this field trip at 20 participants, so space is very limited. We are asking that all students be in grade 6-12, and be prepared to show the utmost respect for our guide and for the land. Please note that students do NOT need to be enrolled with TLA, so siblings and friends are welcome.
