Esquimalt Trip – Blended Humanities 10
This field trip is for Blended Humanities 10 students. Mrs. Uher has honed this trip over 3 years to make it a key learning experience for studies on the world wars, thus it is a springboard for these studies and *strongly encouraged for all Blended Humanities 10 students to attend*.
*For this unique adventure please be aware of the times for ferry drop off and return.*
Parents drop kids @ 620am at Tsawwassen ferry terminal
Parents pick up @ 435pm SHARP at Tsawwassen ferry terminal
All permission forms must be in to the TLA office at Hawthorne one week before leaving (Sept 18th) on the ferry. Payment is due upon registration.
The itinerary is as follows:
6:20 AM meet at Tsawwassen ferry terminal
7:00 AM ferry leaves for Swartz Bay
8:35 AM ferry arrives in Swartz Bay
8:45 AM load bus for Victoria
9:20 AM arrive at CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military Museum
9:30 to 10:30 AM tour of CFB
10:45 AM Departure by bus from museum to Fort Rodd Hill
11:15 Arrive at Fort Rodd Hill, tours of fort & lighthouse
12:15 PM to 12:45 PM bag lunch @ lighthouse
1:30 PM Bus transfer from Fort Rodd to Swartz Bay
2:25 PM Arrival at Swartz Bay
3:00 PM ferry leaves Swartz Bay for Tsawwassen
4:35 PM meet parents for pickup in Tsawwassen
The cost of this trip is $45.00 payable when you register.
