Field trip information:
This is a facilitated 2 hour in-person field trip experience at the Britannia Mining Museum near Squamish.
In this program, students will take part in three activities, as well as have access to a lunch space and time in the gift show.

10:15 am – 1:15 pm – all three activities included:

1. Cooper Quest – underground tour (1 hour)

2. Mineral Detectives – Get hands-on with rocks and minerals. Explore a selection of rocks and minerals from our learning collection to discover some of their fascinating characteristics. (30 min)

3. Boom! – An international award winning attraction! Discover a thrilling light, sound and special effects experience inside the historic Mill. BOOM! brings all 20-storeys back to life sharing the Mill’s captivating story and its thunderous roar! (30 min)

When: Friday, October 24, 10:15 – 1:15 – 10:00am arrive and gather in the parking lot for a prompt start.

Maximum participants – 30
Grade level: The program is aimed at students in Grades K – 7.
Where: 10-minutes south of Squamish right beside the Sea-to-Sky Highway on the Rainforest to Rockies Route at 150 Copper Drive.
Cost:
- $19.00 for all school-age participants
- $25 per adult to offset the cost of additional adults beyond the allowed 1:6 student/adult ratio
Adult Leaders, Attendants and Chaperones
- Leaders, attendants and chaperones are expected to support participants during program activities.
- Chaperones are also responsible for group and individual participant behaviour.
- Please review TLA’s Field Trip Policy and share the expectations with your children.
- Individuals not respecting our code of conduct will be asked to leave the group and a parent will be required to remain with them until the time of departure.
