SUMMARY:Britannia Mining Museum - School Program
DESCRIPTION:****IMPORTANT NOTE: The first group of 30 is filled. However\, we can form a second group of 30 (at least 15 students with parents as well) if we reach that number by Thursday\, Oct. 16th. \nYou will be notified by Thursday\, Oct. 16th if there is enough interest to form a second group. Thanks so much for your interest in this trip. \nField trip information:  \n\n \nThis is a facilitated 2 hour in-person field trip experience at the Britannia Mining Museum near Squamish.\n\nIn this program\, students will take part in three activities\, as well as have access to a lunch space and time in the gift show. \n\n  \n\n\n10:15 am – 1:15 pm – all three activities included:\n\n\n\n1. Cooper Quest – underground tour (1 hour)\n\n\n\n2. Mineral Detectives – Get hands-on with rocks and minerals. Explore a selection of rocks and minerals from our learning collection to discover some of their fascinating characteristics. (30 min)\n\n\n3. Boom! – An international award winning attraction! Discover a thrilling light\, sound and special effects experience inside the historic Mill. BOOM! brings all 20-storeys back to life sharing the Mill’s captivating story and its thunderous roar!
