Lucinda lives in Vanderhoof, the geographical centre of British Columbia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University in Virginia where she studied Early Childhood Education. She taught in both public and private schools in Virginia before marrying her Canadian husband. Since 2000, she has been teaching in British Columbia schools, along with some ESL home tutoring.
Her homeschooling experience includes teaching her younger sisters and more recently, her own three children. She is passionate about literacy and helping young children understand the world around them. She is happy to be a part of TLA and the support they offer to parents in educating their children.
Apart from teaching, her interests include gardening, volleyball, church and community involvement, reading and exploring national parks with her family.
