Social Studies Project Fair

The Project fair will be held from 10:00 am until noon on Thursday, February 27th at TLA’s Hawthorne location in Cloverdale. Students who participate will be given a table on which to display their project, and a chance to present their work to those attending.
  • Any topics related to general world geography and history are most welcome! Projects linked to the student in a personal way, such as learning about the history, or ancestry of their own family, or a country they wish to visit, are possible ideas to build upon.
  • You are welcome to invite grandparents, or friends and family to view the projects!
  • Here is a link to a PDF table with grade level social studies content. You do not have to choose a topic that lines up with your child’s grade level, but it would make sense to do so.
  • Also, here is  a link to a folder full of ideas broken down by grade level.  These are taken directly from the BC curriculum website.
  • Please review the Project Guidelines here.
  • Students are encouraged to include maps, reports, images, and a model of some sort in their display, although there are no strict requirements. This is simply intended as a fun way for students to share their learning with others, and to have a chance to present what they learn, if they are comfortable doing so. 🙂
