Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea Field Trip
Field trip information
TUESDAY June 6, 11:00 am- 12:30 pm
Join Mr Jackson as we wrap up our learning from our community class about the seaside. If you didn’t take the class and just want to come and hang out, that’s just fine, too! There will be some great opportunities to learn, including some great hands-on touch tank activities, and observing some beautiful marine life.
Grade 1-7 TLA students are invited to participate (non-TLA students are welcome, too)
10:45 arrive and gather in front of museum
11:00-12:30 Enjoy the time exploring the museum, completing scavenger hunts, and other great activities at the aquarium

Some notes from the Centre:
- Unfortunately, we do not have space in our Centre to consume snacks or lunch. However, there is a large grassy area outside of the facility with a covered band shell in case of inclement weather.
- You are able to leave the Centre — for lunch or free time — and re-enter.
Parking
- Free 2-hour parking can be found in the underground lot the Centre shares with the Sidney Pier Hotel and Spa. This parking is limited to vehicles less than 6’6” in height. Please allow for additional time to find parking as this lot is often full. Parking is also available on the street or in a pay-per-use lot adjacent to the Centre.
Finally, since this is a self-guided tour, feel free to stay as long as you’d like after the field trip. 🙂
