Literacy Program Invitation
Dates: Wednesdays, October 1, 8, and 15
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Connaught Youth Centre
Join Ms. Shannon for a fun and engaging literacy program designed to build early reading skills. Over three sessions, students will explore:
- Letter recognition and letter sounds (using sand trays and Play-Doh activities)
- Rhyming words and songs
- Short sentences and shared reading
- CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words
- Comprehension through questions and discussion
Cost: $30 per student (covers all three sessions – must register for the full program).
Please register by Friday September 26th
What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Hilroy Exercise Book, 1/2 Interlined 1/2 Plain, 9-1/8″ x 7-1/8″, 72 Pages (available at Staples)
- Play-Doh
- Sandwich container with lid (to be filled with sand)
