PG Observatory Tour
$2.50
The Prince George Observatory is located at 7365 Tedford Road in Prince George, close to West Lake.
Since we had to cancel our Oct 26 visit, I have arranged two other potential visits. The two options are Thursday, November 7th or Saturday November 9th, both at 7pm. Please just choose which option works best for you. There is a maximum number of 50 people (parents and children combined). Cost is $2.50 per person. Our visit starts at 7pm and should last between 1.5 and 2 hrs.
Other details – there is an activity table. If the skies are cloudy, there are still learning activities to complete, but there won’t be much to see through the big telescope. This happened last year. Clear skies will mean both the large telescope and additional smaller telescopes will be set up for viewing. If our group is large, we will divide into 2 groups, with students 10 and up in one group, and younger than 10 in the other.
Final notes: The observatory is cold. Come dressed to be outside, and appropriate for the weather. Encourage your kids to prepare any questions, if they are curious about anything related to space.
