Forensics at SFU

This field trip will focus on entomology in forensics. Students will be guided through some of the basics of forensic anthropology, including a practical portion where the students work with SFU ’s teaching collection (real skeletons).
Because of the practical portion of this field trip, it’s best that students have some understanding of the skeleton prior to coming. Typically, students have knowledge of which bone is which and they understand that forensic anthropologists try to reconstruct a biological profile (age, sex, ancestry, stature).
