Chilliwack Museum (Gr.4-6 TLA Students)

“Full Steam Ahead” at Chilliwack Museum

Grade 4-6 TLA students are invited to participate (non-TLA students are welcome, too)

9:20am arrive and gather in front of museum

Program Summary:
When thirty-thousand gold seekers travelled up the Fraser River in 1858, life in British Columbia was rapidly changing. Following the diary of Charles Evans as he describes his journey to BC in 1862, students will investigate occupations undertaken during the gold rush, interpret artefacts and taste food popular at the time.

Students will be under the supervision of TLA teacher, Jaime Rene, and museum staff during the program.
Parents are asked to be back at the museum at 10:45 in order to pick up their child(ren).

Where:  45820 Spadina Ave, Chilliwack
Cost: $6 per student (9 student minimum in order for field trip to run)
