Britannia Mine Museum Field Trip
WEDNESDAY, March 29 from 10:45 am -12:45 pm
Grade K-12 TLA students are invited to participate (non-TLA students are welcome, too)
10:45-12:45: tour will include:
Copper Quest underground tour: Engage in the story of exploration experienced by over 70,00 Museum visitors annually. Copper Quest tells you the story of our long and ongoing search for the red metal with a focus on why and how that occurred at Britannia, culminating in the question of ‘Where will tomorrow’s copper come from?’
Legacies lab program: Students will examine the process of the water treatment plant. Leaving with an understanding of the importance of having a cleanup plan in place.
Boom! An international award winning light, sound and special effects experience inside the historic Mill.
Where: Britannia Mine Museum (Britannia Beach, BC, 15 min before Squamish coming from Lower Mainland side)
Cost: $19 per student
