In this workshop, children will be learning how to jump into another creature’s head and write convincing characters with unique perspectives. They will write diaries from the point of view of an animal to open a window into that animal’s habitat and daily routine. They will learn about literary devices such as conceit and hyperbole. They will develop their informational and how-to writing skills. Children will also continue to hone their argumentative writing skills, brainstorming all the possible ways to persuade the reader of their opinions.
