The exercises in this chapter will expose kids to new vocabulary as they learn about word roots. They will play with anti-rhyme techniques and thwart their audience’s expectations to produce surprising humor. They will attempt a variety of different writing formats, such as riddles and poetry. They will learn about the parts of speech. All these strategies will make their writing richer, while they are having fun!
