Regardless of what subjects you are studying, learning to communicate ideas clearly and effectively is a cornerstone! Clear and concise writing begins with understanding the building blocks of how we communicate through the written word.

This learning opportunity offers practice to deepen student understanding about the four fundamental types of structuring sentences:

1) simple sentences,
2) compound sentences,
3) complex sentences,
& 4)compound-complex sentences.

*In addition to students being offered a mini-lesson on the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of constructing these four types of sentences, students will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with other learners to practice employing their learning in meaningful ways!
WHAT TO BRING: Students will be provided with handouts to guide their learning; however, students are asked to BRING A NOTEBOOK (NOT a computer), WRITING UTENSILS, A WATER BOTTLE, A SNACK, A CURIOUS MIND, and A SMILE 🙂
Maximum enrolment: 20 students
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, January 31st
