STEM Quest is a series of Science Exploration and Innovation class that will be held throughout the school year for grades 9 to 12. The goal is to encourage science and engineering exploration as well as to build up a science community at TLA, and perhaps enter a Science competition in the future.
This class will focus on designing and then implementing an experiment to determine isopod behaviour. Ethology is the study of animal behavior. Many behaviors involve movement of the animal within its environment. In this exercise, you will investigate some innate (instincts) behaviors of isopods. We will be focusing on experimental design with limitations, analyzing the results, and applying this to understand isopod behaviour better.
