Students are welcome to participate in a Soapstone Carving lesson on:
WEDNESDAY, May 28th from 1-3pm @ White Lake, BC on the SMID FAMILY FARM.
Cost: $42/ student
(*Note: TLA students can apply to use Community Class funding for this activity!)
*Students Gr. K-12 welcome!
**Please note that students Gr. 2 and younger will REQUIRE a parent to support this activity. Also, please note that younger students will be offered an age-appropriate material alternative which will be easier (and safer) for them to carve.
*STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:
1) A BAR OF IVORY SOAP (this specific brand seems to work best),
2) EYE PROTECTION & 3) FACE MASK
**All other materials will be provided
**If anyone has a dremel, hand rasps or files and small cheap dollar store hand saws, please feel free to bring- extras would be helpful!
**Additional Note: This event will occur outside, so please bring any hats/sunscreen/bug spray/etc that may keep students comfortable.

If we are unable to secure at least 8 registrants, this community class offering will be cancelled
Parents of participants in Gr. 3 or higher are welcome to drop off or stay and observe!
