During this series of online classes, students will explore properties of simple machines and their force and effects. During the weekly online class, Ms. Stolz will engage students, share videos, and lead through hands-on engineering tasks. Students will build their own collection of simple and complex machines, and learn how simple machines are found in nature. Materials required (and those recommended) for this class will be announced two weeks before the series start, and will include household items, basic craft supplies and recyclables.
Activities and learning outcomes are based on grade 4 – 6 students, however, additional siblings are welcome to attend with the gr.4-6 student with a parent helper.
