Facilitated by TLA teacher Daniel Perrett, this marine biology community class will offer students the chance to experience a memorable beach walk at low tide at Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver. 🐚🐟🦑
It will also include two video calls – one to prepare for the field trip, and the other to share reflections after the field trip.

Field trip date: Friday September 19, from 10:00am-12:00pm.

Location: Whytecliff Park, 7102 Marine Dr, West Vancouver

Community class meet-ups via Zoom:

-Friday September 12 (10:00am)

-Friday October 3 to debrief and share reflections (10:00am)

Goals for the community class:

  1. Experience the wonder of a low-tide walk at Whytecliff park.

  2. Consider how the inter-tidal zone is a place of abundance for us and for Coast Salish peoples.

  3. Choose one life form from our beach walk to inspire a reflection or further research.
