Join us in our times together every Friday afternoon. We will be conducting two projects this year:
1) Role Playing History! Let’s turn history into a game. Each student will take on an important character in a historical story, and then we’ll see what collaboration, character dynamics, and the random chance of fate at times will do to the story. Maybe we’ll end up with the same result, or maybe history will be turned on its head. In either case, students will be able to dive into the people. places and times.
In the past, I have played this game around the person of King Alfred the Great and his defense of England against the Vikings.
2) Destination Imagination. Let’s see if we can enter a team in this fabulous international event this year. You can learn more at https://www.destinationimagination.org/
Time: Every Friday from 1-3 pm
Location: The Junction Church, at the corner of Garden and Eden in Crescent Valley.
Cost: Students from TLA can use their CCC budget. Other students can pay the cost of $200 for the year.
Max. Participants: 15 students
