The Raspberry Pi 400 is a powerful yet inexpensive little computer that can be used to do almost anything! Better yet, it’s built specifically with school-use in mind, so that even learning to use it is educational. But, because it uses an alternative operating system (Linux, rather than Windows or Mac), learning to use it on one’s own can be a bit challenging… and that’s what this class is for!
Join TLA’s Tech Team leader, Mr. Hewlett, on a six-week adventure of discovery, learning to use your Raspberry Pi 400 to do (almost) anything school-related. At the end of the course, you’ll not only have your own ultra-portable computer system which you can plug into any available HDMI monitor (and which is amazingly powerful for the price!) – you’ll also have the knowledge and skills that you need to use it for (almost) anything your teacher might ask you to do.
**Family must purchase their own Raspberry Pi kit to have ready for the first class. Cannot be purchased with consumable budget. Purchase here : https://www.pishop.ca/product/raspberry-pi-400-complete-kit/ If you have any questions about this, please email Mr. Hewlett : ehewlett@schoolathome.ca
