TLA’s Inclusive Education department is quickly reaching capacity for the 2025-26 school year. If your child requires an IEP you will be placed on a waitlist for the 2025-26 school year.  If a spot opens up you will be contacted by the TLA team.

I’m excited to welcome students to the second year of our TLA school choir!

Choir is open to students in Grade 3 (or 8 years old) and up who love to sing and perform!

Our first day will be September 18.

Why join choir?

Singing in a choir helps students develop confidence, teamwork, listening skills, and self-discipline while making new friends. Music can boost memory, encourage creativity, and reduce stress, all while having fun!
This choir is open to both enrolled and registered TLA students, and we also welcome students outside of our school community!
We perform in at least two concerts per year, with more possible if opportunities arise.
There is no audition, and students will sing a variety of genres:
  • Folk & cultural music from around the world
  • Sacred & Gospel
  • Popular/Contemporary songs with a good message
  • Children’s songs
  • Musical Theatre & film songs
  • Christmas songs
  • Classical choral songs

Choir is a creative experience where students learn to make music as a team. While we add in movement breaks or interactive activities from time to time, choir isn’t a high-energy or physically active class.  To help everyone get the most out of this class, choir students should be able to show respect for themselves and others by following directions, staying focused, and participating without disrupting the group.  If you’re unsure whether this setting is the right fit for your child, please feel free to reach out to me to discuss.

Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. You may opt to attend for just one term, but I hope you will join us for all three!
