DESCRIPTION:Mrs. Maureen Krump will be visiting the museum with the Blended 4/5 (non-TLA students welcome) class at the same time\, and you are invited to be a part our our group\, or explore the galleries on your own. The visit will be a self-guided tour.  Students will be given a self-guided scavenger hunt to complete as they move through the museum\, exploring the galleries. \nA parent must be in attendance with their children. 10:15 am arrive and gather in front of museum. Parking passes are available from the museum. SUMMARY:Hartland Landfill Learning Centre - Vancouver Island
DESCRIPTION:“Does that really belong in the garbage?” Many things that end up in Hartland Landfill can actually be diverted. This workshop teaches students about the 3R hierarchy (reduce\, reuse and recycle/compost) and the benefits of diverting waste from the landfill. Students begin to develop an understanding of their role in the community and the broader world\, including how we can all make a difference when it comes to what we throw away. \nStudents ages K-3 (Parents must attend with their children). There is no cost to attend the program\, and the organizer has arranged a bus to come and give us a tour of the property (in addition to the workshop component). \nThere is a 15 person minimum and a 35 person maximum. \nSign-up deadline: Wednesday\, March 18 Field Trip Sign-up Form
