Students will have the opportunity to participate in four activities throughout the afternoon: a Grassland Trail Walk\, a Pond Study\, Nature Journaling\, and Orienteering.\n\nWe will take a walk through the grassland ecosystem to learn about grassland plants and animals\, and how they interact. Students will learn about the simple and creative ways Nature Journaling can improve their observation skills\, and students can learn how to build their knowledge as a naturalist. Finally\, students will also be given a clipboard and a navigation tool in an effort to develop orienteering skills. It should be a fun-filled\, fantastic afternoon immersed in nature!\n\nTo learn more about the Allan Brooks Nature Centre\, feel free to check out his website:\nhttps://abnc.ca/\n\n*Please bring a water bottle\, snack\, & any hats/bug spray/layered clothing/ rain gear that may be necessary to keep you comfortable during an afternoon outdoors.
