SUMMARY:Social Studies Project Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Project fair will be held from 10:00 am until noon on Thursday\, March 13th at TLA’s Hawthorne location in Cloverdale. Students who participate will be given a table on which to display their project\, and a chance to present their work to those attending.\n\n\n\nAny topics related to general world geography and history are most welcome! Projects linked to the student in a personal way\, such as learning about the history\, or ancestry of their own family\, or a country they wish to visit\, are possible ideas to build upon.\nYou are welcome to invite grandparents\, or friends and family to view the projects!\nHere is a link to a PDF table with grade level social studies content. You do not have to choose a topic that lines up with your child’s grade level\, but it would make sense to do so.\nAlso\, here is  a link to a folder full of ideas broken down by grade level.  These are taken directly from the BC curriculum website.\nPlease review the Project Guidelines here.\nStudents are encouraged to include maps\, reports\, images\, and a model of some sort in their display\, although there are no strict requirements. This is simply intended as a fun way for students to share their learning with others\, and to have a chance to present what they learn\, if they are comfortable doing so. 🙂\nIf you have any questions\, please contact Mrs. Maureen Krump at: mkrump@schoolathome.ca
