DESCRIPTION:Adventures with Mrs. Ang: Pond Peering \nTuesday\,  May 16 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM \nWhere: VanDusen Garden\, 5151 Oak Street Vancouver BC V6M 4H1 \nGrade K-5 TLA students are invited to participate (non-TLA students are welcome\, too) \nMaximum 30 people: $10 per person attending. \nPond Peering: Hidden beneath the surface of VanDusen’s ponds and streams is a diverse world of beautiful and strange life. Students learn about and explore the aquatic environment\, use nets to dip below the surface and identify the creatures they find. Students will also seek out the plants and animals that make their homes along the pond’s edge. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nInvestigate various water bodies looking for plants and wildlife\nUnderstand the pond as a layered ecosystem (edges\, bottom\, water column\, surface)\nCollect\, observe\, and identify aquatic invertebrates\nLearn that life cycles and survival are features of animal life\n\nMore info and sign-up form here.
