DESCRIPTION:Field Trip information: \nCome join Mrs. Maureen Krump for a guided tour at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. After an introduction to the museum galleries and a general discussion\, students will be challenged to complete a scavenger hunt through the galleries to locate items related to early exploration and navigation. The group will also learn about explorer Henry Larson’s arctic expeditions and their significance\, and complete a second scavenger hunt onboard Larson’s vessel\, the St. Roch\, which is housed within the museum. After the St. Roch and gallery tours\, there will be plenty of time for families to independently explore the interactive children’s galleries related to West Coast tidal waters\, pirates\, and the various jobs and vessels found in a modern-day port. \nWho: The VMM guided class tour and activities are aimed at students in Grades 4 – 7\, but younger siblings are welcome.  Maximum 30 students. \n\nWhen: Tuesday\, May 28th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm\nSign-up deadline: Thursday\, May 23rd\n\nWhere: 1905 Ogden Ave.\nVancouver\, BC\nV6J 1A3 \n\n\n\nParking:  In the VMM Parking lot.
